Amruthdhara Goushala under Project “Kamadugha” at Raigad District has been set up with the main aim of conserving;
protecting and preserving Indian origin breed cows which are on verge of extinction. It is situated at Village Jamgaon,
Raigad District and spread over 40 acres of land surrounded by greenery. The land is donated by
Mr. Krishna Bhat for this
noble cause.
Currently, in this goushala out of the four native breeds of cow from Maharashtra (namely Dangi, Gir, Deoni and Gaulav) the Dangi breed is being protected. Our goal is to include and protect many more breeds of cow as is feasible. .
